I have a hand me down lamp from great grand aunt. Since then, I hardly ever turned on the down lights in my room anymore. I find I like soft glow rather than harsh light. I know my apartment will come with some ceiling down lights, but I believe I won't use them a lot. Much prefer to put some lamps around the house and have a soft glow like Aunty's house.
On way to swim, Bits and me passed by a shop...
Me : Oh Look, this is a beautiful lamp! Wooden base and pastel pink.
Bits: Yes, how much?
Me: OMGWTFBBQ - $149.90? I can make that with Ikea leftovers...
Bits: LOL.
Me: You know this is a good house warming gift....
Bits: ......
YOU SHOULD SEE HIS FACE LOL..... Anyway I won't ask for such a house warming present. Besides I saw a similar one in Kmart only for $20.00
